KIB sponsors the first Sard public speaking event
Kuwait, 10 June 2024: As a constant supporter of Kuwait’s youth and their comprehensive development, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) concluded its sponsorship of Sard’s debut event, Student Speaker Series, which took place at Promenade Mall’s Soapbox. The event saw a high turnout of participants who benefited from the speakers’ insightful journeys and experiences as well as connected with like-minded youth. The sponsorship of Sard’s event is the latest of KIB’s social responsibility efforts, which aim to support and develop members of the Bank’s community on various fronts.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Abdulaziz Althawab, Assistant Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications at KIB, said: “As an engaged member of society, KIB’s success is directly tied to the comprehensive growth and development of our community, which lies at the heart of our expansive social responsibility strategy. On this note, we were delighted to sponsor Sard’s Student Speaker Series – an event that provides a platform for Kuwait’s brilliant youth, from entrepreneurs to athletes and other visionaries across various fields, to share their stories and inspire other youth to pursue their dreams. We firmly believe that by supporting spaces that encourage the youth to find and share their voice, we are essentially contributing to building future leaders and entrepreneurs who will play a vital role in the success of our society.”
It serves to note that Sard focuses on reviving the art of storytelling and the spoken word by organizing public speaking events and workshops for seasoned and amateur speakers. It also provides different resources for those wishing to hone their public speaking skills and experience. With KIB’s support, Sard aims to foster a public speaking community where people can meet, share ideas, build new connections, inspire one another, and collaborate on innovative, high-potential projects.
As a steadfast supporter of entrepreneurship in Kuwait, KIB continues to enable young business owners through numerous resources provided through KIB Mubader Center, the Bank’s dedicated startup incubator and accelerator. The Center continues to function as a one-stop-shop for all aspiring entrepreneurs in Kuwait who seek resources, knowledge, tools, or mentorship to launch or expand their businesses. The Bank’s unwavering support for entrepreneurs is an extension of its unyielding commitment to advancing the domestic economy of Kuwait and contributing to its growth.
