Kuwait, 27 September 2024
Following last year’s commendation, Burgan Bank announced receiving the prestigious Brandon Hall Group Human Capital Management (HCM) Gold Award of Excellence in the “Learning and Development” area under the “Best Use of Social/Collaborative Learning” category. With entrants participating from different countries around the world, Burgan Bank’s latest accolade testifies to its world-class human resource (HR) practices and its market-leading human capital development strategy, which centers on innovation and fosters a culture of continuous learning.
“We are honored to be recognized for the second consecutive year by the esteemed Brandon Hall Group for our unwavering efforts to adopt the latest learning and development technologies and engage our employees in a culture of collaborative growth,” said Mr. Naqeeb Amin, General Manager - Human Resources and Development for the Group at Burgan Bank. “Building a robust learning and development program is a mandate for success in a market that is advancing at supersonic speed. At Burgan Bank, we take pride in offering our employees state-of-the-art learning tools that enhance their personal and professional growth experience and enable them to seamlessly weave development into their demanding careers.”
Upon the review and evaluation of an impartial panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts, and executives, Burgan Bank earned the “Learning and Development – Best Use of Social/Collaborative Learning” Gold Award in recognition of its innovative methodology for reinforcing cooperation and the exchange of knowledge across the organization. The judgment criteria included the alignment of the Bank’s learning and development program to its overall business needs and environment, in addition to program design that adopts integrated adoption methods. Furthermore, entries were judged for the overall user experience and its effectiveness in achieving the desired outcomes.
The prestigious accolade sheds light on the Bank’s adoption of various tools and digital channels including the blog series about Burgan Bank’s ethics and codes of conduct, the Burgan podcast, the Bank’s LinkedIn-affiliated digital learning platform, knowledge exchange sessions, mentoring and coaching programs, and short learning clips. These learning and development initiatives focus on unconventional social learning methods that are tailored to the dynamic and ever-evolving industry, ingraining effective and bite-sized learning into the Burgan professional experience and reinforcing the cross-functional team spirit.
In addition to the diverse learning channels and tools, Burgan Bank also utilizes AI-powered, data-driven insights about employees’ growth trajectories, areas of expertise, preferences, and skills to tailor a personalized, self-paced learning and development plan that encourages autonomy and ownership. Besides individual development, the insights, analytics capacity, and adaptive technology enable team leaders to spot skill gaps and new opportunities for collaboration among the Bank’s different departments.
As a winner of the 32nd annual HCM Excellence Awards, Burgan Bank is invited to attend the HCM Excellence Conference and Awards Gala on January 28-30, 2025, in Florida, USA where it will be honored on stage among a cohort of leading global businesses at the forefront of innovative, forward-looking human capital management.
