KIB concludes its annual Ramadan campaign with numerous humanitarian initiatives
Kuwait, 8 April 2024: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently concluded its annual Ramadan campaign, which included a diverse range of initiatives and activities aimed at positively impacting the community and providing support to all its segments and individuals. This important step came within the framework of the Bank's renewed commitment to its comprehensive social responsibility strategy. It also reaffirmed KIB’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to promote the concept of solidarity, instill a culture of giving, and elevate noble humanitarian principles and values, on top of which is compassion.
Commenting on the occasion, Abdullah Al Khamees, Senior Specialist - Internal Communications at KIB, said: “We take pride in all our humanitarian efforts and initiatives that embody our commitment to continuously supporting all segments of the Kuwaiti society. KIB's annual Ramadan campaign provides an advanced model of events aimed at providing all means of support to members of our community. This campaign is also considered a fundamental element of the Bank's annual duties, reflecting its crucial role as a true partner and a key component of sustainable community development efforts.”
KIB's Ramadan campaign included a number of initiatives that involved the participation of employees from all departments, and played a crucial role in fostering the values of kindness, compassion, collective work and genuine cooperation that are emblematic of the holy month. Part of the campaign was the annual Machla distribution initiative, launched at the beginning of Ramadan. The Machla boxes, composed of a variety of food items and basic supplies, were distributed by KIB employees to a large number of families in need to ensure their comfort during the month of fasting. Additionally, the Bank organized an Iftar meals distribution initiative to hand out daily Iftar meals during the holy month in collaboration with the Zajil volunteer team, a group of Kuwaiti youth who are eager to contribute to humanitarian efforts throughout the year.
The collaborative partnership between KIB and the Zajil team does not end there, with the Bank sponsoring the initiatives of “Zajil Expo”. This charitable exhibition targets underprivileged families during Eid Al-Fitr, where Eid clothing and other essentials are provided for this special occasion. Additionally, a variety of activities and events tailored for children will be organized as part of the ongoing support to ensure a dignified livelihood for this societal segment and leave a positive impact on their lives.
It is worth noting that KIB's annual Ramadan campaign reaffirms its ongoing commitment to contributing to the support of the Kuwaiti community and positively impacting the daily lives of all its members. It also reflects the Bank’s adoption of religious, humanitarian, and ethical values, stemming from its main slogan, “Bank for Life”.
