Kuwait – Feb 29th, 2023: In a remarkable display of dedication to Kuwait, Ooredoo Kuwait took center stage during the recent celebrations of the nation's 63rd National Day and 33rd Liberation Day. Seamlessly integrating into the festivities, the telecom giant presented a diverse array of impactful initiatives, including collaborative campaigns, educational outreach, and vibrant sponsorships.

Ooredoo's commitment to the community was evident through interactive programs and engaging activities catering to all segments of society, emphasizing its dedication to promoting national unity.

Key Highlights of Ooredoo Kuwait's National Days Initiatives:

1. 'Kuwait Glory and Pride' Awareness Campaign:

Ooredoo Kuwait collaborated with the Ministry of Information to launch the 'Kuwait Glory and Pride' awareness campaign. This initiative focused on emphasizing responsible celebrations during the national holidays. Leveraging social media and the iconic Ooredoo tower, the campaign effectively disseminated messages, educating the public on the significance of celebrating wisely.

2. “You Love Her, Sing to Her' Campaign:

Ooredoo actively participated in one of the country's most impactful emotional campaigns during the national days – the 'You Love Her, Sing to Her' awareness campaign. The primary objective of this initiative was to instill a sense of connection to the national anthem among both children and adults. It recognized the anthem's symbolic significance in nurturing a sense of citizenship and expressing loyalty to the country. The campaign's success was a result of a collaborative effort with various government entities, companies, organizations, and institutions, with notable contributions from the Ministries of Information and Education, the Amiri Diwan, and others.

3- School Visits:

Acknowledging the importance of instilling love and loyalty to one's nation from an early age, Ooredoo's Public Relations team conducted a heartwarming visit to Maria al-Qibtiyya High School. As part of the visit, the team aimed to spread National Day cheer among the young generation through various activities, including a collective national anthem song and active involvement in the school's National Day celebration event.

As a gesture of goodwill and to foster a sense of national pride, Ooredoo distributed giveaways to both students and teachers during the visit.

4. Sponsorship of Kuwait University's National Day Festivities:

Furthermore, the company played a pivotal role as a sponsor and participant in Kuwait University's National Day festivities at the Shadadiyah campus. The event, themed 'May you always be proud, my country, and may you be the cradle of knowledge,' attracted thousands of students and the public. The festivities included music, captivating shows, and a patriotic atmosphere, with Ooredoo Kuwait prominently standing among over 50 participating organizations.

5. Bugsha Market Sponsorship:

Aligning with its annual commitment to community interaction, Ooredoo sponsored the Bugsha Market, the largest outdoor event in Kuwait. Held at Al Shaheed Park from February 22nd to February 26th, the market showcased Kuwait's cultural heritage and drew nearly 200,000 visitors.

This strategic sponsorship reflected Ooredoo Kuwait's dedication to supporting cultural events and local crafts, offering visitors an immersive experience into Kuwait's cultural tapestry.

6. The February Promotional Campaign:

Aligned with national celebrations, Ooredoo Kuwait initiated a promotional campaign that focuses on the number '25,' symbolizing the dual significance of Kuwait's statehood and Ooredoo's 25-year legacy of telecommunications leadership.

As part of the celebration, Ooredoo offered an exclusive bundle featuring the newly released iPhone 15 Pro. This special bundle, designed in celebration of Ooredoo's 25-year journey, included attractive added-value benefits, with flexible payment plans ensuring uninterrupted connectivity, high-speed broadband, and world-class customer support.

7. Ooredoo’s “Generation After Generation” song

And, to culminate all the activities, Ooredoo released a song last week that has garnered immense admiration, particularly among Kuwaiti youth who have enthusiastically sung and memorized it.

The song, with a significant number of views on social media platforms, resonates with the youth, exuding trendiness while effectively conveying feelings of patriotism, enthusiasm, and pride. Furthermore, it highlights the country's progress and recent advancements. Recognized as an upgrader par excellence with its slogan 'upgrade your world,' Ooredoo emphasizes in the song lyrics that every Kuwaiti possesses the can-do attitude and capability to contribute to the continuous upgrading process.

Ooredoo Kuwait remains steadfast in its dedication to supporting initiatives that celebrate Kuwait's rich heritage and national spirit. The company reinforces its commitment to community engagement and cultural enrichment, fostering a robust partnership aimed at cultural and community engagement in the years to come.
