Kuwait, 15 January 2024: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced the launch of its newest service: the Interactive Teller Machine. The introduction of this innovative banking solution comes as part of the Bank's comprehensive digital transformation strategy aimed at keeping pace with the ongoing banking technologies, and continuously developing its services and products.

Combining the convenience of traditional ATM services with the personalized touch of in-person banking, this cutting-edge machine enables customers to perform a wide range of banking transactions, including cash withdrawals, cash deposits, cheque withdrawals and cheque deposits, in addition to addressing general inquiries – all with the assistance of a live, remote teller through high-definition video and audio communication.

Al-Radwan pointed out that customers can benefit from the new service in various ways. Through the Interactive Teller Machine, KIB customers can initiate cash withdrawals within their daily ATM limits. They can also interact with the Bank’s tellers via video calls for hassle-free cash deposits within daily transaction limits. He explained: “Customers must start the transaction by scanning their civil ID and entering their signature or by using their debit card and PIN code. Video calls with our dedicated tellers will ensure that their transactions run smoothly.” 
Customers can also take advantage of the added perk of depositing and cashing cheques through the Interactive Teller Machine. “Through video calls with our tellers, you can deposit your KIB cheques and receive the deposited amount instantly during the same transaction. The efficiency and speed of cheque processing through the new service saves customers’ valuable time,” Al-Radwan said. 

Another advantage is that everyone, whether a KIB customer or not, can use the Interactive Teller Machine for a wide range of general inquiries daily. These include getting information about the Bank’s products, staying updated with the latest announcements, checking branch working hours, locating ATMs, and exploring new services. 

In addition to the recently introduced service, KIB customers can leverage the Bank's wide ATM network for all their banking needs. These include cash withdrawals and deposits, inter-account fund transfers, PIN management, and conducting cardless withdrawals through the civil ID and mobile number. Customers can also utilize the ATM network for tasks like settling KIB credit card payments, activating new cards, subscribing to the Bank's SMS service, redeeming cashback points, and topping up their KIB prepaid card.
