Kuwait's hospitality sector is promising with ample potential and opportunities.
With considerable interest from major companies in the hospitality sector, the twelfth edition of the Horeca Kuwait exhibition commenced yesterday and will continue until January 17. The event is organized in collaboration with Hospitality Services Company by Leaders Group for Consultations and Development, taking place at the International Fairgrounds in Mishref, Hall: 8.

Nabilah Al-Anjari, General Manager of Leaders Group for Consultations and Development and Chairperson of the organizing committee for the twelfth Horeca Kuwait exhibition, explained that the exhibition reflects Kuwait's keen interest in the hospitality sector and its development, amid growing interest from industry leaders to apply everything new and innovative in the world of hospitality.

She pointed out that, as usual, the exhibition includes numerous diverse and distinguished events that meet the needs of participants, with over 100 exhibiting companies from various sectors of hospitality. The exhibition provides a great opportunity to learn from the vast experiences in the hospitality industry, ranging from local to regional and international perspectives.

The exhibition confirms Kuwait's commitment to organizing international exhibitions, with the presence of international figures with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including the personal representative of the President of France, Guillaume Combes, along with numerous ambassadors, diplomatic mission representatives, hotel owners, restaurant owners, and specialized companies operating in the hospitality sector locally, regionally, and globally.

A variety of events will be held during the exhibition, including cooking competitions with the participation of over 200 chefs supervised by 15 international judges, as well as the launch of coffee (barista) competitions supervised by Kuwaiti and international judges. Additionally, housekeeping competitions will take place under the supervision of international specialists. Five seminars will be held during the exhibition, with the participation of more than 20 specialists in the hospitality and food sector, including a special seminar on the role of Kuwaiti women in developing Kuwaiti cuisine.

Al-Anjari expected Kuwait's hospitality sector to benefit from the increasing global interest in the Gulf countries, leading to significant growth in entertainment and hospitality projects. The value of facilities under construction or in planning is estimated at over $140 billion by 2026, with current projects worth around $30 billion. Reports indicate a rise in hospitality sector revenues in the Middle East to over $270 billion, equivalent to pre-COVID levels, in addition to the industry's need for over 80,000 people in the coming years.

In conclusion, Al-Anjari stated that Kuwait's hospitality sector is promising, with plenty of potential and opportunities that can contribute to achieving the economic vision of diversifying income sources.'
