Kuwait, 28 March 2023: Burger King Kuwait organized a tree-planting event throwing in an exciting mix of fun, learning and environmental awareness for children on Saturday. This is the third such edutainment activity by the BK Junior Club app in the last 9 months, starting with the beach cleanup drive, followed by the ‘King of the Space’ event.

With joyous hearts and eager hands, fifty children joined forces to be part of the initiative, conducted in partnership with Green Hands, a renowned environmental team. Together, they planted 500 saplings at the picturesque Al Tasameh & Altasleh park in Andalous.
Accompanied by their parents and siblings, the day transformed into a delightful family outing that left an indelible impression on the young minds. The event sparked meaningful conversations among the participants and their families, forming deep social connections and lasting friendships. The positive impact on the environment was palpable, and so was the satisfaction of a day well spent on the faces of the young environmental warriors.

The BK Junior Club app has been gaining traction in the past few years, serving as a creative platform featuring cartoon videos with a social theme, designed to nurture a sense of social and environmental responsibility in kids. Parents are increasingly joining their children in the club as such activities are a wonderful opportunity to make them understand the value of physical labor, teamwork, and the spirit of caring and sharing towards building a better society.
The highpoint of the day was the visit by Sheikha Anisa Al Sabah, who was the chief guest, and whose presence was a source of inspiration for the children and their families. The Mayor of Al Andalous, Mr. Mitaab Al Fajji, also took part in the event. The Burger King Jr Club extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Sheikha and the mayor for their support and solidarity.

The president of Green Hands Environmental Team, Dr. Samia Hamad Al-Saidan thanked Burger King for its commitment to achieving the global 2030 and local sustainable development goals 2035. “Your partnership has set an inspiring example for others to follow, and we are proud to have collaborated with you on this vital mission towards creating a better tomorrow for generations to come.”
