Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre Presents Eid Al-Fitr Programme
Bringing new experiences to audiences in Kuwait and the Middle East
Kuwait City, Kuwait – 1 June 2019: On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre will host an interactive programme, that will include tailor-made educational games, diverse workshops and shows that aim to deliver a unique learning experience. Activities will take place first day of Eid, Tuesday the 4th of June, 2019, and will continue untill Saturtday, the 8th of June,2019.
The specially designed platforms, catered to visitors aged three and above, combine the use of mental and physical abilities to promote basic and modern knowledge acquisition, making use of new-age digital innovations. The multi-dimensional activities, which will be held over five days, fall under one of the Centre’s museums, namely, Human Body Museum, Science and Technology Museum, and Our Earth Museum.
The Science and Technology Museum will bring local audiences a fully immersive experience through its ‘Virtual Reality’ show. Combining the best of both worlds where life and technology come full circle, a special show - introduced for the first time in Kuwait and the Middle East - will include virtual reality videos with 3D holograms offering a truly unforgettable experience. The Founder xxx is famed for his/her contribution to augmented reality and won several accolades such as the Great British Entrepreneur award, BBC Dragons Den, The Queens award, Guiness World Record to name a few.
The museum will additionally include engaging educational activities for children, such as the 15m ‘Black wall’, ‘Mind control’ and smart games’. In collaboration with ‘That Al Salasil’, children can enjoy an intriguing ‘Storytelling’ session to develop an understanding, respect and appreciation for other cultures at the Theatre of the Science and Technology museum.
Children will enjoy leading science experiments and fun facts under the ‘ Sublime Science’ show at Theatre H.
Those in search of the wonders embed in the smallest of particles, can look forward to attending the ‘Under the Microscope’ workshop in the Human Body Museum and discover an ancient world hidden under the rocks through the ‘Digging Fossils’ workshop in the Our Earth Museum. Another workshop will be offered named “Evolution and adaptations of whales'in the Ecosystem museum.
The Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre is one the many projects developed by the Amiri Diwan to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and promote critical, creative, and interpretive thinking within the Kuwaiti society through world-class exhibitions and educational public programmes.
