Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre Wins ‘Best Museum Project' Award
Recognised for its innovation and dedication to audiovisual installations at the 2019 Commercial Integrator Integration Awards in Florida, USA
Kuwait City, Kuwait – June 30, 2019: Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre recently won the ‘Best Museum Project’ award at the 2019 Commercial Integrator Integration Awards. The award recognised the Centre’s commitment to deploying world-class audiovisual installations and was presented at this year’s InfoComm Show in Orlando, Florida.
Divided into 13 categories by Commercial Integrator magazine, the respective category considers top quality problem-solving installations that address commercial customers' requirements. Through its partnership with Electrosonic, Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre has installed more than 250 exhibits, including a spherical dark ride theatre with 6m immersive screen and 4D full-motion seating. The latest accolade honors the Centre for the provision of state-of-the-art AV exhibits in each of its four museums: Natural History, Science & Technology, Space, and Arabic Islamic Science.
The deployment of new age-technology and design enables Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre to deliver immersive learning experiences that educate and inspire. These interactive experiences have transformed the Centre into a world-class cultural complex and a prominent symbol of Kuwait’s ambition to become a leading social, creative and cultural hub in the region.
Transcending old architectural and technological barriers, today, Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre is the largest museum project of its kind in the world and was named ‘Public Building of the Year’ at the prestigious ABB LEAF Awards 2017. The Centre was honoured with several premium accolodates namely ‘The Best Public Services Architecture Building in the MENA’ award, and ‘Best Architecture Single Residence in the ME’ as part of the International Property awards in 2018.
Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre is one the many projects developed by the Amiri Diwan to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and promote critical, creative, and interpretive thinking within Kuwaiti society through world-class exhibitions and educational public programmes.
