In association with Dasman Diabetes Institute, the hotel conducted an informative health session on diabetes

Kuwait City, Kuwait -  November 21, 2019:   Copthorne Kuwait City Hotel, a 4-star hotel situated at the heart of Kuwait city with convenient access to the financial and business district, mark the month of national diabetes awareness by conducting an informative health session to its employees. In association with Dasman Diabetes Institute, this session aimed to provide participants with essential information about diabetes.

Thursday, November 14th 2019, employees from various departments of the hotel including head of departments, departmental trainers and HR joined the session at the Dasman Diabetes Institute to receive advice on significant symptoms of the disease, and they were given nutritional consultations to reduce the possibilities of future health complications. Specialists and professional health consultants also provided advice on best diet programs for those already suffering from the disease.

The number of people with diabetes is sky rocking and increasing rapidly especially in middle- and low-income countries. The global prevalence of diabetes among adults has risen from 4.7% in 1980 to 8.5% in 2014 with a total of 422 million. Doctors, researchers and specialists are convinced based on available researches and evidence that diabetes can be prevented with correct diet and simple adjustments on regular eating habits.
