
3rd Saudi Logistics Conference to focus on key issues in Riyadh next month'
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – September 16, 2019: The 3rd Saudi Logistics Conference being organized in Riyadh next month will discuss a host of key issues relating to supply-chain management and the logistics sector.
The three-day conference to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Oct. 13-15 under the patronage of Minister of Transport H.E. Nabeel Mohamed Al-Amudi will be attended by a number of ministers, officials and decision-makers from the Kingdom and abroad.
Some of the key issues to be discussed at the conference include, “Simplifying the concepts of supply chain technology and logistics, and the future of logistics services in the Kingdom in the digital age”.
Discussions will also focus on renewable energy and supply chain issues, future logistics projects, as well as analyzing big data and its impact on companies and organizations.
“The conference aims at attracting about 2,000 participants representing the logistics field in the public and private sectors locally, regionally, and globally, in addition to the international institutions and major investment companies in the logistics sector,” said Yasser Abdulaziz Al Misfer, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Ministry of Transport.
Al Misfer, who is also an adviser to the Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Conference Supervisory Committee, said, “The Saudi logistics conference is among the most prominent logistics conferences in the world.”
“It has become a reference point for many local and international decision-makers as it highlights the latest legislation, regulations, investment opportunities and the most important logistics services provided by the Kingdom to encourage competition and make the Saudi logistics sector more attractive,” he added.
The conference is one of the largest gatherings of supply chain management and logistics decision- makers in the world. It aims at achieving the goals of the Saudi government to make the Kingdom a global logistics hub connecting the three Continents by providing a distinguished and strong infrastructure and competitive services.
