September 1, 2019:   Riyadh, KSA: Bidfood KSA and Georges MONIN SAS France is proud to announce that for the first time ever Saudi Arabia will host MONIN CUP 2019.

 

All mixologist and beverage specialists from all across the kingdom are invited to register online and secure a chance to be the MONIN Champion in Saudi Arabia and win up to US$2000. The competition will be held under the theme ‘Mix your Origins’. Each candidate can seek inspiration from the best of local and natural ingredients or from Saudi culture and cuisine.

 

Applying beverage specialist must be 35 years old or younger and should have at least 2 years of professional work experience as a beverage mixologist, bartender, barista or a student at a culinary centre. They must submit two recipes for a non-alcoholic beverage using MONIN’s products - one hot and one cold drink.  

 

Organised by MONIN, a premium brand for quality gourmet flavoured syrups, Fruit Mixes, Sauces and Frappes; the MONIN CUP is a national and international competition for professional beverage specialists, challenging competitors to demonstrate their creative skills whilst using Monin products to craft signature cocktails. Over 10,000 beverage specialists from all across the globe have participated in the international competition. With 100 years of experience, MONIN brand has become a reference in the flavoured drink market with a broad range of more than 150 flavours.

 

For the first time, Saudi Arabia will host a national edition, which will take place over the course of two months. All submissions will be evaluated to select the top 10 semi-finalists for each geographic region – Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar. The 10 selected semi-finalists will compete in local semi-finals held in Bidfood culinary studios in each region.

 

3rd November Jeddah for the Western Region

 

4th November Al Khobar for the Eastern Region

 

5th November Riyadh for the Central Region

 

Based on creativity, presentation and charisma, the three regional champions will then compete for the MONIN CUP finals, which will be held on the 5th December in Riyadh.

The deadline for submitting entries is September 31st, 2019. Applications will be accepted in both English and Arabic languages.
