Hosted for the first time in Kuwait at AUK in the presence of 300 engineering scientists and researchers

Kuwait, 14 May 2023:  Stemming from its commitment to supporting educational initiatives, Burgan Bank announced its sponsorship of the 14th IEEE Global Engineering Education Conference (EDUCON 2023). The conference was hosted for the first time in Kuwait by the American University in Kuwait’s (AUK) College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. This sponsorship comes as part of Burgan Bank’s expansive social responsibility program to reinforce sustainable development and science-and-technology-based initiatives that pave a path toward a brighter future.

The conference was attended by around 300 researchers and scientists from across the different disciplines of engineering, in addition to the noteworthy presence of representatives from across Kuwait’s most vital sectors. Other conference guests included select VIPs and scientific research enthusiasts. This one-of-a-kind annual event is an extension to a series of conferences held across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
