In collaboration with KRCS

Kuwait, 18 April 2023:  As part of efforts to positively impact the local community it serves, Burgan Bank joined hands with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) for another good cause of holding a toy drive in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr. The initiative is part of the Bank's special Ramadan campaign with the slogan “Driven by Kindness” and falls under the umbrella of its long-established and ongoing collaboration with KRCS. 

As part of the initiative, more than 1,000 toys will be distributed to children across Kuwait during Eid Al-Fitr. The toy drive falls in line with the Bank’s unwavering commitment to playing an active role within its community and contributing to boosting people’s morale. 

Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager–Corporate & CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “On the occasion of Eid Al-Fiter and through the toy drive initiative, we keen to draw a smile on the kids faces and bring joy into their hearts by distribting toys and celebrate eid with them. In addition, we are proud of our partnership with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society as part of CSR strategy which foucus on making positive impact on the community. We would like to express our gratitude to KRCS team members for their supported and participation in all our initiaviues during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fiter.” 
For her part, Mrs. Shaima Younes Al-Shatti, General of Fundraising at KRCS, said: “We are proud of our ongoing partnership with Burgan Bank as it drives impactful and positive results in society. Within the framework of our strategic vision, the focus of this joint initiative was on children to spread joy in their hearts and give them more room to hope for a better future.” 

It is worthy to note that the toy drive initiative is part of a series of programs carried out by Burgan Bank annually during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr to further strengthen its foundation and boost its contribution to the wider community.
