Kuwait, 3 April 2023:  Burgan Bank announced the launch of its special Ramadan campaign under the slogan “Driven by Kindness ” as part of its distinguished Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for the holy month. This campaign falls in line with Burgan Bank’s continuous efforts to encourage community engagement and promote the culture of volunteering to carry out charitable activities building on the fundamental principles of the Bank’s goals and vision. As part of this year’s CSR program, the Bank is organizing several humanitarian and social initiatives through strategic partnerships that support spreading joy to underprivileged families and hospitalized children during the holy month.    

Burgan Bank’s campaign program includes several voluntary humanitarian initiatives and events, including a Ramadan food basket distribution initiative in partnership with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), as well as a toy drive for children of underprivileged families and hospitalized children in collaboration with the Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospital (KACCH) and Bayt Abdullah Children's Hospice (BACCH). Burgan Bank will also invest in young Kuwaiti talents by organizing the fifth edition of the Women’s Football Tournament, in cooperation with Eighty Percent, and by sponsoring the participation of the Kuwait Padel National Team in the NAS Sports Tournament, in cooperation with Kuwait Padel Club. The NAS Sports Tournament is hosted by the United Arab Emirates and will witness the participation of eight Arab teams for the first time. These initiatives reflect the Bank’s commitment to its humanitarian values and unwavering efforts to helping various segments of society improve their lives. 

Commenting on the CSR program, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager–Corporate & CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “We are keen on establishing strong and long-term partnerships with leading charitable organizations and institutions, in line with our responsibilities towards society. We are very grateful for KRCS's all-round support of our charitable work and long-established collaboration that has helped provide Ramadan food baskets and toys to disadvantaged families all over Kuwait. On the other hand, we are proud of our 22-year partnership with KACCH and BACCH, which will bear fruit again this year to draw smiles and spread joy among children and give them a glimpse of hope during the month of giving.”

Ms. Al-Najadah added: “Burgan Bank takes pride in its role of being an integral contributor in serving the community, supporting local sports and encouraging Kuwaiti youth to take part in various sports games and activities. In this regard, the Bank is organizing the Women Football Tournament in its fifth edition and sponsoring the participation of the Kuwait Padel National Team in the NAS Sports Tournament. Moreover, we actively strive to enrich our Ramadan program and create added value by launching and supporting various activities and initiatives that include all segments and individuals in society.”
