Kuwait, 30 May 2022: Burgan Bank recently concluded its participation as a platinum sponsor in the Career Fair organized by the American University of Kuwait (AUK). The Bank’s participation came as a part of its ongoing social responsibility efforts to support the educational sector and Kuwait’s youth population, as well as its efforts to attract talented graduates to the banking sector.

Speaking about the Bank’s participation in the fair, Ms. Halah El Sherbini, Burgan Bank Group's Chief Human Resources and Development Officer, said: “By being present in career fairs of this kind, Burgan Bank is eager to implement its human resources strategy which focuses on attracting the best talents and the most promising young professionals in the market; providing them with suitable job opportunities and the path to fulfilling career within the Bank.”

She added: 'Through the Burgan Bank Academy and our Ro2ya program, we aspire to foster a new generation of experienced and passionate bankers, who have the vision and drive to bring about positive change in the banking sector. This investment in human capital will inevitably help us realize Burgan Bank’s objectives – as well as actively drive growth and development in the economy at large.” 

During their presence at the fair, representatives of Burgan Bank’s Human Resources Department answered all the questions and inquiries of students looking for job opportunities. They also sought to raise awareness amongst the students about the Banking sector, providing them with all information about the nature of work within a bank and the application process at Burgan Bank.

In addition, the Human Resources team held a number of initial job interviews with students for the purpose of appointment in the available jobs at the Bank. Moreover, the Bank is aiming to continue supporting and participating in various career fairs – which continues to be great platforms for acquiring fresh young talents. It is worth noting that Burgan Bank continues to be an ideal career choice for young graduates, given what the bank offers in terms of support, resources and learning and development opportunities specifically designed to help young aspiring bankers enhance their skillsets and expand their knowledge base.
