Kuwait, 28, April 2022: Burgan Bank is steadfastly supporting the “Let's Be Aware” (Diraya) campaign for the second year as part of its participation in several local events, including the 2021–2022 Kuwait Equestrian Federation (KEF) League, KFA | U18 Girls Football and Burgan Bank first staff Padel tournament. Through its on-ground presence at these events, Burgan seeks to engage directly with the public to spread banking awareness and promote financial literacy among all society segments, in line with its social responsibility program. 

Since the launch of the “Let's Be Aware” campaign last year by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the Kuwait Banking Association, Burgan Bank has been eagerly active in raising awareness among the Banks' customers about their financial rights and responsibilities and the best ways to benefit from banking services. By publishing educational material and awareness content across the Bank's social media platforms and digital channels, Burgan Bank continues to promote the public’s financial and banking culture and literacy by highlighting the best way to process banking transactions securely, avoid frauds and scams, and protect their personal and banking data. 

Speaking on the “Let's Be Aware” campaign, Mrs. Hessa Al-Najadah, Public Relations Manager at Burgan Bank said 'We have always maintained a robust social responsibility program where we seek to be present in various community events – including social, cultural and sports event. As part of our ongoing support the ‘Let’s Be Aware’ campaign, we wanted to take the opportunity of our direct engagement with the public during these events to help spread the messages of the campaign and help enhance public awareness about financial matters.'

Burgan bank will sustain its support for the second year of ‘Let’s Be Aware’ and will build on the campaign’s 2021 positive outcomes to pursue the collective effective efforts to educate all banks’ customers on their financial rights. Diraya’s 2022 campaign will stress and reinforce the messages covered last year and add various new topics including, the benefits of various banking services, customers' financial rights, the complaints submission mechanism, the key precautions against frauds and the risks associated with 'loan shark' schemes and high-risk investments.
