Kuwait- 10 January, 2021:  The Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre is getting excited for this upcoming National Day Celebration. 2021 will be very special and the first celebration of H.H. the Emir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre has prepared a rich and manifold programme on this occasion, also commemorating the 60th anniversary of the State of Kuwait and the 30th jubilee of its liberation. All residents are invited to join us at Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre. 

We also want you and your kids to participate!

Ask your kids to send us a drawing or poem for the 60th anniversary. They might have heard stories about the history of the State of Kuwait, learned about it at school or they have seen photographs from the past. 

What does it mean to them to be a resident in a country that is celebrating its 60th birthday? What are their dreams for the future? All kids are invited to send us their “gifts” until the 15th of  February 2021. 

The Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre will also organize an exhibition with all those “gifts” and all kids participating will become little artists with their works presented during the National Day Celebration. 

Participation is simple: use the paper format A4, draw a picture or write a poem, write your name and age on it, scan it and send it to academy@ascckw.com.
For adults, Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre has organized a Photography Competition. All photographers are invited to reflect the 60th anniversary and the 30th year of liberation and contribute with a dedicated image (one image per person via email with personal information). 

A jury will choose the best images to be presented at Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre.
