Arab Megastar Hussain Al Jassmi and Pepsi® Pay Tribute to Saudi Arabia in New Ode to Kingdom
Saudi - January 24, 2021: As a long supporter of creative talent and artistic expression, Pepsi® is proud to collaborate with the Arab world’s renowned singer, Hussain Al Jassmi. The partnership will see the launch of a new song called ‘Hay Hal Sot’ composed by the talented singer himself and written by Saudi Arabia’s leading poet and literary icon, Prince Badr Bin Abdul Mohsin.
Music has always been a powerful cultural indicator, the song called ‘Hay Hal Sot’ is an ode to the Kingdom – its beauty, bountiful nature, traditions and the unconditional love of its people. “Hay Hal Sot” is a celebration of the region’s diverse talent and rich culture, bringing people together to experience the musical canvas of Saudi – the old and new beat of the Kingdom.
Hussain Al Jassmi, who has made remarkable achievements and has established himself as an icon in the music industry, feels a unique connection with the composition. The Arab megastar says, “Music brings people together – it bridges gaps and connects us with people and places far beyond our language or place of origin. This song in particular, captures our love and respect for the Kingdom, its thriving culture and incredible people. The creative process and experience has been extremely rewarding, having worked with one of the most iconic poets from the region, Prince Badr Bin Abdul Mohsin, and Pepsi to leverage our collective strengths capture the musical essence and beauty of Saudi Arabia.”
The song was revealed on Pepsi’s official YouTube channel on Thursday, January 21st. Pepsi® has been present in Saudi Arabia for the last 60 years, and is continuing its legacy of storytelling through music across the Arab world.
